"Together We Can! Together We Will!"

Thank you to all who made our Optimist International East Missouri 2nd Quarter District Conference a success. There were Optimists from all over East Mo, that worked to provide a wonderful conference where we got together to learn, share & grow our optimism. We kicked things off with great information from our clubs, and then had a cook-off, danced to a little country music, did some clogging and took photos in the wild west. The socializing continued for our 30 and under group that scheduled to party until midnight, while others did so me Karaoke. The next day we had a great breakfast and a fun filled day of information and motivation from special guest speakers, break out sessions and exciting ways to learn how to be our best and work for the best. Thank you all for your participation and hard for work in the planning and continued success to help provide programming fo rthe youth in our communitites.

The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
