Skyenet Subscriber Update 21.07.16

Statement from Sharon Campbell, Trust Manager:

"Thank you to all our subscribers for their support of this community endeavour. The Management Team and Board of SCT are fully aware of the restrictions and subsequent frustrations incurred by Skyenet users due to network constraints and value all feedback and information provided by subscribers. The Skyenet team are exploring additional technical training options, networking with other community organisations and have engaged an outside contractor to provide support in addition to the technical assistance currently received from the University of Edinburgh. Emma Micski is now our Broadband Development Office and will be providing regular updates on all matters relating to Skyenet."

West Highland Access Network /  West Coast Backbone Update:

It has been communicated to us that BT Openreach did not complete the works at Mallaig, as thought, last week. They are booked to visit site on Monday the 25th July to complete the 'Fit and Test' which is the last step of the install. Please bear in mind that this is an Edinburgh University led project that we will be able to access once it's fully functioning.
