Port Dover Ride Wrap Up It’s been almost two years since a Friday the 13th coincided with a reasonably warm month suitable for riding – well, for most of us at least – but this year, May featured this occurrence, and with riders in Southern Ontario chomping at the bit for an excuse to get on the road, you just knew Port Dover would be a busy spot. For those who don’t know what we’re talking about here, you need to get caught up. This year, the oVc gang decided to plan a group ride and sent the invite out to all our friends and customers. Despite the early morning start, the persistent rain, and the fact that most of us still have to work most week days, a total of six Urals converged on the oVc parking lot for the 6:00 AM departure for Port Dover. The crew would be meeting up with several other oVc customers already setup at Dover and proudly displaying their rigs. On the way into Dover, the train of sidecar rigs picked up oVc’s intrepid webmaster who, shame, shame, arrived on a two-wheeler. |

Nevertheless, like a string of little ducklings, Ian (AKA “Mother Goose”) who was leading the group, navigated the way into the town of Port Dover. |
The early hour and rain had kept attendance lower than typical and the group managed to line up all the rigs at the very epicenter of all the action right on Main Street. |
After a hearty breakfast, the group returned to the parked machines. By this time, the weather had improved dramatically and the crowds were starting to grow. As usual, there were lots of sights to take in and yes, Thong Man was in attendance, but, no, we do not have any pictures to share. Instead, how about this Dnepr with a faux MG34 mounted on the hack? |

Our good friend Brad made the ride down with us: |
