Working at camp "made me more confident in areas that are vital parts of graduate school clinical work." -- Dani Meyer, Clinical Practicum Student, Portland State, 2014 |
|
|
My clinical repertoire grew immensely at Camp Yakety Yak as I worked with children with a wide range of strengths, needs and challenges and soaked up knowledge from eight weeks of close collaboration with SLPs, Special Education teachers and Occupational Therapists. Additionally, CYY staff helped me learn to glean pertinent information from campers’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), write measurable goals, collect data, and write comprehensive progress notes. -- Dani Meyer, Staff 2014 | | |
