The Security Studies wing (SSW) of Bangladesh Institute of Democracy and Development (BIDD) is the first center of its kind in Bangladesh dedicated to the study, research and analysis the socio-political, natural and civil rights related issue on security point of view. The Institute decides to publish a semiannual peer reviewed journal title "Security Scripts”. The journal will cover all relevant issues impinging on politics, security and development matrix of the world in general, Asia in particular and Bangladesh in specific. The journal covers the following issues to meet the objective of the institute.
- Traditional and non-traditional security issues particularly-social security, health security, food security, economic security, personal security, community security, financial security, women and child security, political security, Cyber security, environmental security and extremism and terrorism issues
- Democracy, electoral integrity, political violence, state building, political movement, civil rights, political instability and internal- external displacement, migration and human security issues;
- Natural and non-natural resource management; gender-poverty and security nexus, climate impact and cohesive sustainable development issues on security dymension;

Manuscripts will be accepted for review on the understanding that their content is original and that the manuscript has not been accepted for publication or review elsewhere. Manuscripts that fall within the aims and objective, potential contributors must be sent electronically to editor@b-idd.org OR info.bidd@gmail.com by 30 January for winter issue and 30 July for summer issue. They should not exceed 10,000 words and should be sent in two files (preferably MS Word or PDF files; Times new roman, front size 12); One file should be sent ready for double blind peer review: author shall have removed all self-references and all characteristic that may identify him or her (name, affiliation, title of conference if paper presented in a conference). The other file should contain the manuscript with all necessary information- complete details of the author(s), including title, preferred name and surname, designation, organization, postal address, telephone and cellular phone numbers must be included.
Both files should contain a short abstract of the article. Once received, the articles will be sent to relevant outside experts and scholars for a double anonymous peer review. All new items are published on a space available basis and decisions made on publication are the discretion of the editors.
The Harvard system of referencing (Author-Date style) style should be followed in the write-up placing notes. Once accepted for publication by editors, it will undergo language copy editing, typesetting, and reference validation in order to provide the highest publication quality possible.
