Cub Scout Pack 375

November 2018 Newsletter

November has been a busy month for Pack 375, and we aren't even half way through the month yet!  Please see below for some highlights of the month so far and information about upcoming events.

November Pack Meeting this Thursday

Our October Pack Meeting will be this Thursday, November 15th at 6:30 PM at Good Shepherd Church.

Parents are strongly encouraged to stay for Pack meetings (parents of Lion and Tiger scouts must stay).

 Inclement Weather Policy

In general, we will follow the SCASD action plan for after school activities. However, we do reserve the right to deviate from their plan based on what we feel is best for our Pack 375 families.

In the event that an event has to be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or any other emergency, I will make an announcement via e-mail to the same distribution list used for these newsletters.  I will also post a notice on our Facebook page and in our Facebook group.

Uniform Policy

Please remember that uniforms are an important part of the Scouting experience.  All Scouts should be wearing a uniform according to the Pack 375 Uniform Policy.

Please watch your e-mail for details about a potential uniform sale that I am trying to set up in conjunction with the JVC Scout Store.

Popcorn is Here!

For those of you who ordered popcorn and have not made arrangements to pick it up, please contact me so that you can deliver to your customers in time for the holidays.

Remember, popcorn money is due this Friday, November 16th.  Please make checks payable to "BSA Pack 375."

Pack 375 In Our Community

I was proud to see Pack 375 and Cub Scouts represented at two different Veteran's Day events this week. Den 3 was in uniform at the 2nd grade Patriotic Performance at Park Forest Elementary.  William and Melissa Gartner were both in uniform at the Veterans Day service at the Centre County Courthouse.

Scouting for Food

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Scouting for Food service project.  Thanks to all your hard work, we collected 5,898 items and filled the Fillmore Food Pantry to capacity!

Scoutbook.com

Christina Hill has created a very helpful tutorial to help with logging advancement in Scoutbook.  Parents should be recording any work completed at home directly in their Scout's Scoutbook account.

Treasurer Needed

In addition to the volunteer positions listed in the October Newsletter, we are now looking for an Assistant Pack Treasurer to "learn the ropes" during the remainder of this year and take over as Treasurer starting in June, 2019.  This is a vital position that must be filled in order to maintain our charter.  If you are willing to volunteer or if you have any questions, please see Joe Zanghi.
