The TeamSafe®Sports Report Special Edition:

Rhabdomyolysis

In The News: A DOZEN female soccer athletes at the University of Houston were sidelined with a very serious medical condition called rhabdomyolysis. This occurred the week before the Super Bowl so there was little media attention. "Rhabdo" has become all too frequent in the world of youth sports. Since it is 100% preventable, a little education and planning will go a long way.

Rhabdo is not an isolated incident:

100 squats, 17 minutes, U of Iowa, rhabdomyolysis

Multiple Oregon Ducks football players hospitalized after grueling workouts

Two Nebraska players hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis after workout

Watch this short video to learn all about Rhabdo: what is it, what causes it, how it must be treated, how you return to play after it, and how to prevent it.
