Typically we have around 15 volunteers at a time, families and all ages are welcome! Contact us now to apply for Summer 2017. Our past projects include: - Teaching at Tina’s School (English, Math, singing and games, basic science and teacher training)
- Construction, maintenance and repair of rainwater harvest tanks
- Gardening or baking with the Ujamaa Women’s Group at our brick oven

TEACHER FEATURE! Meet Mr. Moses If anyone is Madame Anna’s right hand person, it would be Mr. Moses. He is our Assistant Headmaster, and helps Madame Anna with scheduling, school administration, and teaching wherever he is needed. Mr. Moses was born in 1976 in Nyambogo Village, about 20 miles from Shirati. He went to secondary school in Shirati and Tarime, and was then chosen to attend Teacher’s College in Bunda. Mr. Moses is hard working and creative, and has a terrific rapport with the other teachers and the students. Mr. Moses has been teaching for 19 years, and has such a good reputation in the Shirati area that other schools constantly try to recruit him! We are very fortunate and grateful that he has found a home at Tina’s Pre and Primary School! |

A Proud Teacher When asked why he chose to become a teacher, Mr. Moses said, “It was my vision to help the younger generation, and help my community by using my knowledge to teach children in the primary grades, so they can become someone in the future, especially the girls. I like to share ideas with the children, and teach them about life.” Help us keep amazing teachers like Mr. Moses at our school by starting a Teacher Support Circle, a fundraising group of your friends and family, with your own creative fundraising ideas. DONATE directly or Contact us to get started with your Teacher Support Circle! | | |
