We have been up to a bunch of stuff around the gym.
Sorry that I did not get a chance to put out a newsletter in May but time seems to be flying by with all the stuff going on. Which now leads us into June.
We started this month off with a Marble Maze S.T.E.M. project. The kids and adults got into groups to make the most outragous marble mazes using toilet paper/paper towel rolls, tape and popsicle sticks. This was a blast and everyone did a great job.
The next weekend we had a very important class on CPR and lifesaving skills. Niko from the Chandler Fire Department came out and gave us great instruction on how to save a life. We got to learn and practice these skills with adult, child, and infant learning dummies. Now we have 6 students total with these skills and Marc Martinez already used this knowledge at work recently.
The 3rd weekend was even crazier! We were able to train with another gym in North Phoenix TNTBJJ. Ed went to high school with the owner and head instructor Scott all the way back in New Jersey so it was a great opportunity to catch up on past memories. Great group of people up there and hope nothing but the best for all of them.
Now one of the biggest things we have under way is a Fundraiser for the Kids Program and Chandler Firefighters Charities. This will be held July 30th and more information to come.
