Plans for 2016: Video & Crowdfunding

Our team has been hard at work getting things into place since our launch December 1, 2015 which coincided with #GivingTuesday.

Scholarship Success!

Thanks to our donors and supporters we are now able to send 5 more girls to school. The scholarship applications will be distributed in the spring of 2016.Collection and evaluation of the applicants will take place in June and 5 more girls will be able to start high school in the fall of 2016, supported by Madaworks' scholarships.

Grant writing full steam ahead!

Our grant writing team is working hard to secure additional funding and finding new sources of grants.Recently introduced to the Foundation Center's daunting database,we can't wait to get started! We are always looking for new granting opportunities so if you have ideas, we would love to hear from you!

Plans for 2016: Video & Crowdfunding!

Thanks to our great team, we have made incredible progress in a short span of time. Looking ahead to 2016 we have exciting plans afoot. In April we will go to Madagascar to do intensive filming of the forests, weaving collectives, schools and prospective new students. Back in the states, our film production group will edit and complete a 3-minute video to be used on our website and our first crowdfunding campaign. We plan to launch this campaing to coincide with our attendance at the Women Deliver 4th Global Conference in Copenhagen, May 2016. The focus of the 2016 conference will be on how to make development matter most for girls and women, with a specific focus on health, rights, gender equality, educaiton and economic empowerment. We hope to attract major funders and spread the word about our work.

Stay tuned!
