This is Island Collectives first ever newsletter! We are excited because we can now directly link with you our valued clients and friends so we can bring you all the latest news, products, events and workshops from our Island.

As most of you know we are an eclectic lifestyle store situated in the beautiful coastal town of Yamba, Northern NSW. We aim to be a little different with our store blending the latest trends in interior design with designer homewares, contemporary art, hosting events & workshops. Our Ethos is to create, connect, exchange, share, exhibit and inspire, so you can create your own beautiful abodes at home.

What's On...
For the past 2 months we have been running Macrame Classes which have been a huge success and fully booked well before the night. We have a wonderful teacher Emilia Ugarte from www.emilialorena.com.au  who makes the learning of Macrame simple and very inspiring. With all our workshops tasty nibbles and a refreshing cocktail is always served.
We look forward to hosting another workshop in February so if you or a group of friends (at least 10 are needed for a private workshop) are interested we recommend contacting Island Collective to register your interest.

In March Island Collective will be apart of The Clarence Valley Councils Plunge Festival 2015 www.clarence.nsw.gov.au/plunge . Which aims to promote and encourage Arts and Culture in our area. We will be hosting our 4th themed exhibition titled 'Our River Runs Deep'. Opening Friday March 27th at 7pm.

Artists and Artisans have been invited to respond to the theme in whatever discipline and medium they wish. As usual our opening nights are a eclectic evening of Art, Music and other cultural surprises which many in our community add to their social calendars well before opening night. Everyone is welcome.

Back in stock,  stunning Lace Horns by one of our favorite brands Losari Home and Woman.This collection has 3 new lace horns, now there are 4 to choose from Bloom, Ocean, Totem and Vine. Indonesian artists have spent hours on each ivory piece carving a bespoke design and then white washing horns.  Hang your lace horn as an individual piece or as a series of lace horns. Use the horns to hang beads, losari garlands, your favourite jewellery or something equally beautiful. Losari meaning "spirit of the earth" ( old Indonesian Javanese).

A few months ago we made The Great 24hr Escape. A mini break from the kids, to just chill and re connect with each other before the crazy Christmas period begun. With only 24hrs up our sieve we couldn't go to too far, so we decided Byron Bay had to be The Great Escape.
