Special Guest Speaker at FRDS

Hailley Goleta is in the Performing Arts Medicine Graduate Program at Shenandoah University. For this course, students are in the midst of creating inservice projects for the dance community. Miss Goleta's project centers around bridging the gap between parent/student and teacher expectations and understandings on the readiness for pointe work. The discussion will be focused on understanding the prerequisites for pointe work as suggested by medical professionals and dance educators.  Although no clear consensus has been established, it has been strongly recommended that specific strength, flexibility and functional mobility is required to take the young ballet dancer to the next level of training safely and efficiently.  Please join us in order to learn more about the demands of pointe work and a comprehensive look for pointe readiness in order to keep dancers safe and healthy.  This is open to dance teachers, parents and students!

Annual Recital Showcase Announcement

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and Contemporary/Lyrical Classes Only

The 2019 Annual Recital Showcase is tentatively booked for Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday, May 25th. Although, we are still trying to move the performance to June 1st. Once Warren County High School officially announces their graduation date we will know if June 1st will be available for us!
