It's hot Summer. Feel lethargic and tired? Why not try a hot delicious bowl of Samgyetang? Samgyetang is a traditional Korean dish that consists of a young whole chicken cooked in water with ginseng, dates and glutinous rice. It's the perfect dish to have anytime of the year but it's especially enjoyed in the summer months when energy is running low and recharging with nutritious fuel is required.
In Korea people have Samgyetang on the hottest period in the midsummer, on 'Bok'day. (July 17th-Early Bok, July 27th-Mid Bok, Aug.16th-Late Bok this year).
