Based in Brussels, Blue Bossa Liberté is composed by two Brazilians, two Belgians and one Mexican - Cecilia Peçanha (voice, guitar, flute), Gabriel Caporali (bass), Jeremy Frisch (piano), Falk Schrauwen (percussion) and Osvaldo Hernandez (percussion).
Their repertory focuses on original compositions inspired by Bossa Nova Jazz harmonies and Afro-Brazilian rhythms interspersed with new arrangements of some of the Brazilian pearls by composers such as Tom Jobim, Hermeto Pascoal, Chico Buarque, among others.
The originality of this project lie in the new compositions, in the mix between jazz, afro and Brazilian styles and in the varierty of instruments (guitar, flute, recorder, electric bass, piano, African and Brazilian percussions).
They are playing concerts in Belgium regularly and last year they have released the first original album - Muambaroots. In the moment they are working on the second album!
