Hello donors and friends,
Spring is fast approaching! We at Seeds of Life are looking forward to a new and exciting year of growing crops and raising funds for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank for our overseas projects. It has truly been a blessing to work with you this past year. With your support we were able to devote 19 acres of our 74 acre farm to the growing project. 46 tonnes of wheat were sold to local buyers and we sent $10,687 to the Foodgrains Bank. With matching funds from the Canadian government we had over $50,000 to fund our work in Bangladesh and Nepal. A highlight of the year was a visit by Milon Patwery who is responsible for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries programming in these countries. We learned first-hand about the impact that out projects are having on health, nutrition, and sustainable farming methods. Truly we are making a difference in the lives of these people!
We are pleased to share our financial results from 2015 with you, as well as our budget for 2016. Click here to see the figures.………………………………………………………………………………..
In 2016 we are growing grain corn. We are asking for donations of $500 per acre to pay for farming expenses. Our goal is to use ALL of the 74 acres on our farm to raise funds for the Foodgrains Bank. With your generous donations we will be able to grow more acres in 2016 and get closer to our goal. Please watch for emails about the dates and details for our future events. We are planning a spring planting celebration and a tour of the farm later in the year. These details will also be posted on our web site seeds-of-life.ca
Please note: Our mailing address has changed. To save expenses we no longer have a post office mailbox. All mail should be sent to:
