So I got a new art journal and of course I wanted the cover to be perfect. Wrong idea! By seeking perfection I set the bar way too high. Who achieves perfection? … so after a few weeks I told myself “Vicki, just put some ink on it and the rest will come”. It did.

Isn’t that the way our creative endeavors usually work? Instead of enjoying the journey we feel we must create something that is worthy of Pinterest. Creativity is a process and for me the joy is as much about the process as the finished product. Next time you get stuck trying for perfection, just put a little ink on and the rest will come. Oh and that journal cover? It’s perfect, perfect for me.

Call me late to the party but I have just discovered Stamping Bella stamps. I especially love the Uptown Girls line and Winnie Waits by the Window stamp melted my heart. How many times do we stare out the window and think of that special friend that needs a hug, a prayer or many just a smile. This stamp set perfectly embodies that feeling. In this class you will create an A7 size card that will let that special person know you are thinking of them and it’s all going to be okay.
