 - THE POWER OF IMAGINATION -
JULIETTE JOURDAIN
Juliette Jourdain is a young French photographer based in Paris. After three years of photo studies at l'EFET, she started a career as an independent professional. Specialising in the art of the portrait, her portfolio subsequently testified to her great aptitude for staging. In a meticulously arranged studio set, her models give her their all in quirky and sophisticated poses. Her inspirations are numerous (fashion photography, cinema, painting) but are above all derived from drawing, which she has practiced since she was very young, and thanks to which she enjoys and has become used to using her imagination.

View of Jerusalem
By Haim Martello

"Jerusalem is a dual city: the one we live in, made of pulverous stones, and the one that for thousands of years people dreamt, and reached following their dreams.

Anna Ticho, is such an inspiration for me, incarnated this duality. Towards the end of her career, she mainly drew from her memory, abstract natural landscapes, as Jerusalem became so carved in her after a life of observations. She drew hills and wadis, trees, stones and people, in stark grey, charcoal strokes, and created a landscape of the mind, her "Celestial" Jerusalem."

Dafna Yosha

- Breaking The Rules -

"I create my own stories while I'm roaming in the streets and wandering around, and I am mostly interested in finding the souls and hearts of the peoples reflected in their eyes, and the small universal gestures to understand the new exiting and emotional story without words. I feel photography is something that has become much more than a just hobby for me; it has a big part of my life today; Photography is my way of life today, who I am and what I've become because of it, it is my dream, my future, my strength, my biggest passion, its surrounds me and I can never leave its comforting embrace."
