As a birthday treat for me, we took a VIP tour at Seacrest Wolf Preserve in Chipley, FL. It was an incredible experience! Masa, the wolf in the picture, was too shy to let us pet him, but we were able to pet many others. Our guide taught us so much about wolves. If you are into this sort of thing, I recommend a visit! |

Susie and Gav before Susie tends to ride "behind" the horse. It's a common fault in riders due to being told to lean back, to drive from behind, to push with their seat, etc. The rider ends up out of sync with the horse. Most horses protest like Gav is, going hollow, fussing with the head, lacking forward. Look at the hollow back, super short neck, and how strung out his hind legs are. And like most riders, Susie was caught in the trap of trying to get his head down, which only made things worse. Gav is 1/2 Friesian and they can really creat a hammock type back to suck the riders down into, enabling them to shorten and tighten their necks to use against the rider. |

Susie and Gav after Susie has her leg more under her, supporting her body weight on her thighs, and is closer to matching the horse's movement. Gav is moving completely different here--- reaching for the bit, coming through his topline, moving energetically forward. Believe it or not, we didn't do anything to work on the horse. This was the result of Susie finding a new place of balance. Harmony was the result. Gav is happy to go there and have the fighting be over. Doesn't even look like the same horse and rider! |

It's Official: WDAA Gold Medalist Congratulations to Nancy and Truly Unsurpassed on being the first pair ever awarded the WDAA Lifetime Achievement Gold Medal. The pair has just begun showing Level 3 this year. An amazing team that I am blessed and proud to be part of. Here they are in a lesson with me one cold day back in early March, working on perfecting 10 meter circles.

NEW! Now offering video/phone consultations. Send me a short video, 5-10 minutes showing work both ways at all gaits. We'll set a time to watch "together" and I'll tell you what I see. It's not as good as getting hands on from me, like Amy and Magon (4th/PSG) in the pic, but it's better than floundering about on your own! Haha! Fee is $35
