Coupons, Coupons, Coupons Wendy Hardy is collecting manufacturer’s coupons to be sent to our troops overseas. Generally, these coupons are found in booklets in the Sunday paper. Wendy cuts them out, sorts the coupons into categories, then mails them to our troops. It would help if the coupons could be cut out of the page. |

New Trash Cans Highlands County has created a form to expedite the process of getting all the new Trash containers out in a timely fashion. Please be aware that it may take 2-4 weeks for response for exchanges and requests for additional carts due to the large volume of requests received. If you exchange your existing cart for a smaller one there may be a charge to change to the larger size in the future. Please note that when requesting additional carts payment will have to be made directly to Waste Connections of Florida. |

For any additional services, please contact Waste Connections at 863-655-0005 or go to: http://www.hcbcc.net/departments/solid_waste/new_trash_recycling_cart_info.php As a Reminder--Covenant Article IX. We continue to have a problem of with mail being taken out of homeowners’ mailboxes. We offer the following information as an alternative for outgoing mail rather than using your own mailbox with a raised flag. Residents are urged to place out going mail in the mail collection container located at the Post Office. There are currently four outgoing mail drops provided by the US Postal Service (USPS) for the Golf Hammock Community. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE HIGHLANDS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE The Highlands County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a number of incidents of check fraud, some of which were reported to have occurred in Golf Hammock. The time frame for these incidents is late last summer, 2016. The scenario is that the victim has outgoing checks stolen from their mailbox. The suspect(s) then use the stolen checks to create fraudulent checks that are subsequently used at Walmart locations throughout Florida. These checks are presented to the cashier for payment and are run electronically, not through the traditional check method. We are trying to make sure that we have all the victims of this crime listed in our records. To this end, we are requesting that victims of this crime, whether they have already filed an Offense Report with us or not, to please contact Detective Steven Ritenour. He can be reached at 863-402-7811. This is Detective Ritenour’s private office phone so they can feel free to leave a message if he is not available. Detective Ritenour can also be contacted by email at sritenour@highlandssheriff.org, ritenoursd@flcjn.net or steven.ritenour@leo.gov. |

Muscle Group of the Month Legs (No Weights) Each one of these techniques works the biceps at a different angle and a different way. It is always a good idea to change up your workout routine with to allow your body to adapt to changes and help with boredom: ) There are three things you want to do to properly do each exercise correctly: 1. Hold the dumbbells tightly 2. Make sure your elbows stay to your side and they do not move from your side 3. You want to get full range of movement, so that means allowing the weight and your hands go down to you hips and then back up to your chest If you have any questions please email, as I am glad to help |

Recipe of the Month: Chocolate Coconut Almond Sticky Buns If you like sweet breakfasts, rejoice. This recipe makes a sticky bun that’s filled with shredded coconut, roasted almonds, and chopped semisweet chocolate. A.k.a. it tastes like an Almond Joy. For the most tender results, use the highest quality pizza dough you can find (some pizzerias will even sell you their dough if you ask) and handle it as little as possible. While you’re rolling out the dough, it might spring back; if this happens, let the dough rest for about 10 minutes before continuing to roll into a rectangle. - 1cup packed light brown sugar
- Check ¾ cup heavy cream
- Check ¾ cup (1½ sticks) unsalted butter, divided
- Check 1cup chopped roasted almonds
- Check 2 pounds prepared pizza dough, at room temperature
- Check 1¼ cups sweetened shredded coconut
- Check 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
How to Make It Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly coat a 13-by-9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Combine sugar, cream, and 1⁄2 cup of the butter in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring often, until sugar melts, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Pour 1 cup of the sugar mixture into prepared baking dish; reserve the rest. Sprinkle almonds evenly over bottom of baking dish. - Divide pizza dough in half; on a lightly floured work surface, roll out each half into a 12-by-10-inch rectangle. Melt remaining ¼ cup butter in microwave. Brush dough with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with coconut and chocolate. Starting at a long end, roll up each rectangle. Pinch together seams. Cut each roll crosswise into 6 slices. Place slices, cut side up, in prepared baking dish.
- Bake, rotating halfway through, until golden brown and risen, 30 to 35 minutes.
- Let cool in dish for 5 minutes. Invert onto a serving platter, scraping any remaining sauce from bottom of dish onto buns. Drizzle with reserved sugar mixture.
