The rural population in China are in lack of awareness of public health and the related knowledge. There have also been inadequate resources to educate the rural population to improve the situation. Therefore, Prime Care (HK) would like to raise the awareness towards public health among the rural population through a week of voluntary teaching on public health knowledge in a school in Sichuan in June 2017. The HKU participants will also share first-aids knowledge and skills through holding seminars for the teachers in the school in Sichuan, in addition to visits to the families of selected students. We believe this program is beneficial to the HKU participants as they can apply the healthcare knowledge acquired before the trip to share with the participants in Sichuan, and promote inter-cultural exchange between the two parties.
