Born in NYC (El Barrio/Spanish Harlem), Bennito Padilla began playing & gigging as a Timbalero at the age of 12 years old. At 15 years old, he had his 1st Band, The Bennito Sextet Plus One. At 17, Bennito signed a recording contract (his Mom had to sign the contract) with Mardigras Records.
Bennito has played with a ton of bands, some famous, most not so famous. He has traveled and performed in many parts of the world. Retired and unretired a couple of times, He is back once again, producing & recording with some very talented musicians. As Bennito explains, “this has to be one of the best musical projects I've been involved with in a long, long time. Please enjoy and dance, and QUE VIVA LA SALSA & LATIN JAZZ!”
