The Dubai Interior Design community gathered at the Address Dubai Marina, in support of SURGE, an American/UAE based charity that helps provide clean drinking water in Africa and in South East Asia. SURGE provided drinkable water to 335,000 people in 11 countries saving tens of thousands of lives. Thanks to Linda Merieau, Shilpa Alva and dozens of volunteers that made this dream a reality. designMENA Summit VIEW GALLERY... 2016 Commercial Interior Design and Middle East Architect hosted the fourth annual designMENA Summit on 6th December 2016 at the Conrad Dubai. Keynote speaker Benjamin Hubert, owner of Layer, a creative agency with a soul, was inspirational. A force to be reckoned with in the worldwide design community. |

The event brought together more than 160 senior architects and commercial interior designers from the region’s most influential firms. It was a great day for all with the chance to network with key interior designers and architects in the region. Together they addressed key industry issues, identified trends for the coming year, and highlighted opportunities for business development in the design space. SIA flowers now at Chattels & More showroom SIA is a global benchmark for decorative flowers, but it has successfully developed in the decoration universe with, naturally, vases, but also candles, candlelights, furniture, tableware, lights, frames, decoration accessories and a very wide range of gift ideas. The name of the company “SIA” is none other than the initials of its founder Sonja Ingegerd Andersson and it was founded in 1963 The story begins in her kitchen in Sweden: she makes flowers by hand that she cut outs of tissue paper. The women’s magazine “Femina” publishes her creations and they are an immediate success. Orders flow into the small house of Lustgarden which is transformed into a workshop where the whole village cuts out, folds and ships by post flowers that open in multicoloured corollas and today SIA is an international brand spread across the 4 continents SIA products are specifically developed by the designers with the aim of creating harmonies.
