Ten companies have emerged successful in the first round of the Grand Challenges Israel. Each of the winners is to receive NIS 500,000 from the Chief Scientist at the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Mashav (the Israeli Agency for International Aid and Cooperation). The programme, which runs under the auspices of the Chief Scientist in collaboration with Mashav, aims to promote innovative solutions to global health and food safety challenges in developing countries.
