oVc Chronicles February 2016 |

Happy 2016! Welcome to the first oVc Chronicles of the New Year! It’s been a busy start to 2016 and we’ve got some updates to share with all our readers. But first, we have a big announcement – oVc’s own tech, Kevin MacDonald and his lovely better half, Rachel, will be manning the SYM booth at the upcoming Toronto Motorcycle Show. Mike Wells, President of Motorsports Canada and friend of oVc, will also have a couple of surprises at the SYM booth. As the North American importer, Mike will have the CCM GP440 – recently approved for sale in Canada – adventure touring bike on display. |
|
|
Rumour has it that Mile will also have on display the awesome Zaeta – a purebred flat track racer that Mike now imports to Canada. |

The show gets underway on Friday, February 19 and runs the entire weekend at the Exhibition Place Enercare Centre building. If you’re attending, be sure to stop by and say hi. Speaking of motorcycle shows, our intrepid webmaster attended the January Motorcycle Supershow at the International Centre near Pearson Airport. As always, there was much to see and every year it seems that more people are attending and the exhibit halls were positively jammed Saturday morning. Here we have a World War II era BMW sidecar done up as part of the Mediterranean campaign while below, we have an 80s Vespa PX mated with an Inder Rocket sidecar. |

Chris also got in the action and is seen here checking out an early 60s Triumph Tiger: |

Shop News If you’ve stopped by the shop lately, you may have met Scott, our new parts expert. Scott has many years’ experience as a parts manager and is a knowledgeable racer and builder. Scott has already put his expertise to good use and has completely reorganized and catalogued our extensive parts inventory. |

As well as the work in the parts area, we’ve also set up our latest gadget – our own inhouse-built transmission and rear-end test rig. |

Customer Corner Even though the weather is not exactly conducive to riding, the winter months have been very busy at oVc. The Royal Enfield line up continues to prove popular with all riders and we’ve had the great pleasure of helping several new riders pick out their first motorcycle as you can see from all the SOLD signs! But if you’re still waiting to select your new Royal Enfield, don’t despair! We’ve extended our sale on Royal Enfields as we get ready to make way for the 2016 models due to arrive in the next couple of months! |
|
|
And let’s not forget about the Ural owners! We’ve sold a couple of rigs this winter including this stunning Asphalt Grey cT. Stop in now for great deals on our remaining Ural sidecars and get an early start on the new riding season! |

Sidecar Projects Here is our current project – mating a Trans-Moto sidecar to a Harley Softtail, and once this is completed, we have a Suzuki V-Strom lined up that is waiting for its Hannigan Dual Sports hack. |
