Hello Returning Robotic Students,

We know many of you have been traveling on vacation!  Below is the Shout Out we sent on August 10th.  We know you all are busy getting ready for school Monday. Please take a few minutes to read below and do advance registration for McKamy Robotics for 2015-2016!  Thank you to the 14 students who have already done the online registration this last week.

Just a few updates:

*As you know from orientations today the counselors have been very busy working on all the schedule updates. They do have the eligible McKamy Robotics student list and will make the Knight Time adjustment to Mr. Blalack's room before Monday.  Please read below for more information! 

*Reminder: Open enrollment for 2015-2016 will begin September 2nd for new students.  All registrations need to be completed and paid by our first McKamy Robotics Student monthly meeting on September 10th.  Teams will be finalized shortly after this meeting.

Welcome Back To McKamy Robotics Club

We are excited to kick-off the 2015-2016 McKamy Robotics Club (MRC) with the students and teams!  It is going to be an exciting year with a totally new challenge, VEX "Nothing But Net", that will stretch both returning and new teams.

We are happy to announce that Registration for the McKamy Robotics Club is now online!  Please complete the online registration that is now open to returning students only as soon as possible.  The student and parent should complete the McKamy Robotics Club Sign-up 2015 - 2016 form together.  

Open enrollment for new MRC students will begin September 2nd at the MRC new member interest meeting. (details below)

Knight Time Class

The McKamy Robotics Booster Club Board has been working with McKamy this summer to provide a great year of robotics!  Among other things (details to come), Principal Taggart has offered to allow students to be in Mr. Blalack's Knight Time class so that they can work on their robots, programming and practicing during school on Wednesdays and Thursdays. 

This will only be for returning students!

IMPORTANT:  If you do not want to return to MRC for the 2015-2016 school year or just prefer to be in a regular Knight Time class, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing McKamy Robotics Booster Club at McKamyRobotics@gmail.com or simply replying to this email.

McKamy Robotics Club Meetings

An annual required  McKamy Robotics Booster Club Meeting will be held on September 2nd at 6:30 pm

McKamy Cafeteria

Immediately following this meeting, there will be a McKamy Robotics Club Interest Meeting at 7:00 pm for new students and their parent(s) that are interested in joining the club. 

Please, both students and parents, plan to attend both of these meetings.  We need all booster club members to attend at 6:30 pm so that we can conduct important club business. We will need returning students to stay at 7:00 pm to help show interested students everything about robotics!
