For over 20 years Families in Care has been providing professional and dedicated support to some of the most vulnerable and isolated people in our society. Now our service is at immediate risk of closure.

 We need to raise £3000 as a matter of urgency to prevent this from happening.

For parents coming to Families in Care Christmas is a particularly difficult time of the year. We don't want to add to their loss by withdrawing the only support many of them have.

We ask you to give generously so we can continue to provide essential support for parents during their time of crisis.

What will happen without our support?

Without Families in Care support parents who have had their children removed from their care are more likely to:

atttempt suicide, commit suicide, self-harm, misuse alcohole and / or drugs to cope with emotional pain, experience further deterioration in their mental health and disengage from support work.

What we will do with your money?

Families in Care will be able to continue to provide independent advocacy, support and professional counselling to parents.

Birth mothers will be able to continue to participate in therapeutic group work and mindfulness.

Parents in need of advice and information will be able to continue to access Families in Care weekly drop-in sessions.

Our dedicated team will be able to continue to provide training and support for our volunteers.

There is so much more that we do - and will be able to continue doing if we raise just £3000!
