| | For the 2nd year in a row, our clinic and studio created a scarecrow for Town of Fort Mill's Scarecrow Crawl. Igor STRAWinsky is pictured on Main Street, Fort Mill, SC - October 2018. He interacted with visitors through sensory props that were included in the display and fostered conversation about favorite songs that were scribed on clothespins by various community members. We're grateful to Miss Zabia and her kindness in networking us with Max DePietro, Music Programs Coordinator at Arts+ (formerly Community School of the Arts). As a result of this connection, 150 mini-keyboards were generously given to children in need through out Greater Charlotte, orchestrated through our staff and community contacts. |

Did you know?? We receive frequent inquiries from local high school students interested in pursuing music therapy as a career. The American Music Therapy Association, a professional organization that represents many board certified music therapists has a committee focused on Workforce Development & Retention (WDR). PMT's Director, Gretchen Benner is Co-Chair of the WDR Committee and will be supporting a panel of music therapy professors, clinicians and students in Dallas, Texas who will share with local high schoolers at the upcoming #AMTA18 Conference! |
