“Social support” isn’t just about sharing problems...It is helpful to have people you can talk and vent to when you’re struggling, and who will offer you honest, supportive feedback. But social support isn’t JUST venting or supporting each other through rough times. It’s also laughing. It’s being into the same stuff.

“NO SOURCE OF WISDOM IS INFALLIBLE. STAY SHARP.”

It doesn’t matter how smart we are, it doesn’t matter how experienced we are, it doesn’t matter how sophisticated we are: we NEED to be reminded that, no matter how much good stuff we get from any given source, that doesn’t make them always right.

The goal is NOT to have one, big, blinding, transformative moment, where everything “clicks.” If you can have those moments, more power to you. But as far as I’m concerned, the goal is to put together skills and tools to get through every moment. To get through every night. To get through every social event. To get through those situations where you’ve struggled in the past.
