Reiki training and keeping cool

18 July 2018

I am shortly running my first Reiki courses so get in touch if you are interested in this lovely healing modality.  And, a thank you from me to the RNLI.

You may remember that I completed my Reiki mastership a few months ago which means that I can now lead Reiki training.

My first Reiki 1 training is already fully booked and I can't wait to take my learners through this  beautiful healing modality.

Following the first level of Reiki training you will be able to treat yourself, family and friends and your pets (all my animals have had Reiki at some point!).

And Reiki can safely be used in conjunction with any medical or complementary treatment and is safe during all stages of pregnancy too.

During your First Degree we will focus on the general principles of Reiki and learn about the history and roots. On a practical level, you will also be taught how to give a treatment, firstly to yourself and secondly to other people.

If you are interested in undertaking Reiki training do please give me a call.

A firm favourite of mine is the Neal's Yard Remedies White Tea Facial Mist and at this time of year it really comes into its own.  It is a great way to cool yourself down and instantly refresh.

The cooling blend of organic melissa, bergamot and lavender essential oils gives you a moment of calm refreshment.  It soothes and rehydrates and can even be spritzed on over make-up for a refreshing boost. Invaluable to combat dry air in air-conditioned offices or on plane journeys and for hay fever sufferers whose symptoms affect the eyes, this is also very useful.

Focus on.... listening to your body...

We all have these little niggles and twinges, aches and pains, that we generally brush it off and try to ignore. Believe me, I'm the same.... But if these niggles, these twinges, the annoying little pains and discomforts are happening often, they may well be your body trying to tell you something...

For many of us it can be hard to tune into our bodies and to pay attention. We are connected in different ways these days which too often means that we are disconnected from ourselves.

The power of touch is so powerful and a great way to tap into this is through regular massage sessions.

Give Leslie a call on 07871 697000 and tune into you.

And now for something a little bit more local.

We are so lucky on Hayling that we have a very active RNLI station and over the summer they have already been very busy!

The crew is volunteer led which means that people are willingly giving up their time day or night and putting their own lives in danger to rush to the aid of someone.

I have on more than one occasion had an RNLI crew member on my massage table with their pager right there - ready to jump up and run should that shout come in.

I am a keen water sports user myself and have a great respect for the sea.  And I am always conscious that things can change very quickly when out on the water.

So I am happily offering sessions at 10% off to all RNLI crew as a thank you from me for all you do for me.  This discount is also applicable to git vouchers purchased by crew members so that you can treat friends or family too.

So if you are an RNLI volunteer do please let me crewmates know and I look forward to seeing you!
