Is it really May already....?

2 May 2018

Although it hasn't felt like it lately, summer is on the way!  So get your body ready....

Last week was difficult as I had a lot of missed appointments!  Don't get me wrong - I 100% understand that things happen and things get forgotten.  But it does really impact on my business and if I'm honest - I find it a bit upsetting too.

Missed appointments (or no shows) and late cancellations really really REALLY affect a small business like mine as it is very difficult to fill a slot at late notice.

Please do try to give as much notice as possible if you have to change dates and time or if something has come up.

Here is a reminder of my policies:

Cancellation policy: Out of respect for my time and that of those on a waiting list to be seen, cancellations of less than 48 hours will be charged at 50% of the therapy price.  Missed appointments and cancellations of less than 24 hours will be charged at 75% of the therapy price.

Deposit policy: A deposit of 50% will be taken at the time of booking.  This can either be by cash, cheque or card or by online payment.  This deposit will be refundable in line with the above cancellation policy.

Focus on.... your summer body

I know it doesn't necessarily feel like it today but summer is on its way (yay!).

So is it time to start thinking about your summer body?  Massage is so great for our bodies in many ways.  Great for the muscles, skin and for your mind and spirit too.  And I have so many options for you from your head to your toes.

The benefits of massage for our skin include:

 * moisturisation (and I use very good quality oils and balms from Neal's Yard Remedies)

 * opens the pores

 * deeply nourishes

 * gently exfoliates

 * makes skin more supple

To treat your feet and those lovely pins have an hour long Thai foot massage which works on the feet and lower legs, releasing energy through the Sen lines and working on reflex points on the soles of the feet.

And not forgetting the delicous natural facelift massage which tones and can help to eradicate lines and wrinkles.

And talking about summer... how is your immunity?

If you feel your immunity is under par or you're constantly fighting this cold or that virus (and it has been a long winter!), have you considered homeopathy?

Rather than taxing the immune system, homeopathic treatment supports your body's innate ability to heal itself, helping your immune system to flex its muscles.  It knows what to do - it may just need a little help in the right direction.

With homeopathic treatment we can nudge the immune system – not only the white cell populations of the body but also the mental and emotional states which keep those populations healthy – into greater responsiveness and readiness so that disease is kept away or prevented from recurring.

Importantly, the homeopathic consultation gives you the time and space to talk about your symptoms and everything that concerns you about your helath, and your life more generally in a supportive and confidential setting.

Get in touch with me if you would like to pursue homeopathic treatment.

As you may know, the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) requires that I need to ask you to re-consent to receiving my fortnightly newsletters.  The deadline for this is 25 May and I will be sending emails about this before that date.

I also need to tell you that, if you have had a session with me, I hold personal and medical information for you.

My fortnightly newsletters include information about therapies I offer, workshops I may be planning, theproducts I use and wellbeing information that I hope may be of interest to you.

I only send my newsletters to people who have either previously had a session with me and completed a consultation form or those who have expressed an interest in my services.

I do not share your personal data with anyone else unless we have specifically agreed that I may do so, and this will be after consultation with you and usually following a request from yourself (e.g if you are looking for a referral for a therapy which I do not offer or if I need to get in touch with your GP or midwife).

I would love it if you would like to continue to receive my newsletters.  If so, please add your emails address and click 'Subscribe' at the bottom of this newsletter or simply respond to this email with a simple "Yes Please" or "No Thank you" to let me know if you would like to continue receiving my news.

If you do not want to stay on the list, I will be sorry to see you go but will not be offended and I will remove you immediately.  If I don't receive a response, you may receive further emails from me until 24 May when I will remove you from my contacts.
