Do you have a wellbeing plan? 21 March 2018 |

It may have been the first day of Spring yesterday, but I woke to frost this morning! And yet many of my clients are already suffering hayfever symptoms. And have you thought about what your wellbeing plan should include? |

Do you have a wellbeing plan? In the UK most people see massage as a luxury or a treat, as special gift or something to enjoy with friends for an occasion. Marketing images show candlelight and flowers and the most serene settings. But this isn't a true reflection of massage. And if you see massage as a treat, think about how many of your treats actually have a positive impact on your wellbeing, your mood, your health, your ability to focus and your psyche. Mostly people get a massage as an occasional pamper, to deal with a specific injury or to help them deal with stress. And in the main my clients span these three distinctions. But - regular massage treatment can play a major role in treating and preventing chronic pain and keeping you moving. Regular session can help you to manage back pain, migraines, tensions headaches, injuries and more. |

Yes, massage can be enjoyed as a one off moment of bliss and relaxation, a time to relax with friends and escape the day-to-day tolls of life. Or as a treatment those who take part in regular sports. But massage should be considered much more than this to treat and help you recuperate from niggles, aches and even chronic pain. Notice how many of your friends, colleagues and family massage their temples, rub their necks, squeeze the tops of the shoulders, try to mobilise their backs or even worse - try to immobilise their backs or another part of their body. The way we live our lives - sitting at desks or in cars for hours at a time, hunching over a laptop of mobile phone - is putting strain on our bodies and putting us into positions we have not been designed for. So if you want to stop seeing massage as a luxury and start to incorporate it into your regular wellbeing plan give me a call - 07871 697000. |

Even though we are still waking to frost in the mornings (like this morning!), many of my clients are telling me they are already suffering with hayfever symptoms! But yesterday was 'officially' the start of Spring and for some this is far from a happy time and brings dread to the otherwise sunny months. For some it would be pure hell to lie outdoors on the grass, or to take a walk in the countryside. Rather than being able to enjoys the great countryside we have around us, hayfever sufferers may isolate themselves during the sunny months to remove themselves from potential triggers in the environment. |

Or they may dose themselves up on over the counter medication and perhaps suffer with drowsiness or other side effects. About 20 per cent of the population may suffer the condition, severity tending to peak in the 20s - although we are seeing large numbers of young children affected now too. There can be varying patterns though and, perhaps more commonly than classic hay fever, symptoms can be seen in people that are year-round, which would be known as perennial rhinitis. And homeopathy can help in two ways. Firstly by treating the acute symptoms during the season, i.e. helping the sufferer to naturally treat the sneezing, burning eyes or whatever the symptoms may be. And with homeopathy we can also treat your susceptibility to hayfever and within a few years you may be free of hayfever completely. Get in touch with me if you want to pursue homeopathy to tackle your hayfever this year. |
