Hey there playschool community.
Happy Samhain!
At playschool we have been having a lot of conversations these last couple of weeks about our ancestors, and about death. If you have stories of your beloved dead to share with your kiddos, please do! I'd love for them to have stories to share with us about their ancestors. We do a lot of ancestor work throughout the year already, this is just an especially magical time to share their stories.
Outside we've been observing the changing colors of the trees as they get ready for winter, and have been using the autumn season as an opportunity to talk about the life cycles of both the Green Bloods as well as humans. Talking casually about death and it's inevitiability has been especially engaging for our group this week as we've found so much joy in welcoming the end of a season.
A few other highlights have been watching as fall mushrooms begin pushing up through the soil, and as geese migrate in large through the skies.
I hope you've been able to get outside with your littles and enjoy the beauty of Autumn! There is so much out there right now to sense, explore, and learn.
All blessings to you and yours,
Miz Flow
