Cub Scout Pack 375

October 2017

Events & Updates!

The first official month of Scouting is over, now the real fun begins!  October tends to be one of the busiest Scouting months of the year.  Please see below for information pertaining to Pack 375's fall hike, fall fundraisers, fall camping, and the ever popular Haunted Trail!

Fall Pack Hike!

Sunday, October 8th @ 1pm

Stone Valley, Lake Perez

The Wolf Den will be leading a Pack hike on Sunday, October 8th at 1:00pm.  Those wishing to participate should meet south of the lake off Scare Pond Rd. at Stone Valley's Lake Perez.  The Pack will be hiking approximately 3 miles on relatively flat terrain up and around the Shaver's Creek area, however, there are several turn around spots for those needing to leave early/turn back.  Feel free to bring your fishing gear to fish following the hike.  Boat rentals are also available.

Fall Fundraising!

Cub Scout Pack 375 will be participating in two fundraising programs this year.  Proceeds from these two sales go toward offsetting the costs for Pack activities and Scout Awards throughout the year.  Both popcorn and First Aid Kits make excellent gifts for family members and teachers.  Items will arrive in time for the holidays.

Popcorn Sales Orders Due October 26th

Popcorn sales are ongoing through the next three weeks.  All orders and payment are due by Thursday, October 26th.  Orders will be distributed to Scouts at the November 16th Pack Meeting.

  • 1/3 of all sales go directly to Cub Scout Pack 375
  • 1/3 of all sales also goes to the Juniata Valley Council

Thank you to everyone who was able to come out and help with the popcorn show n' sales.  Collectively, our Pack raised over $600 which will help fund Pack activities throughout the year.

First Aid Kit Sales

In addition to selling popcorn this year, Cub Scout Pack 375 will be selling First Aid Kits throught the Scouting year.  Orders and payment for the initial order of First Aid Kits will be due at the October 26th Pack Meeting for delivery by the November 16th Pack Meeting.  The sale of First Aid Kits will be ongoing throughout the year with orders being collected at each Pack Meeting and distributed at the following Pack Meeting.

  • 50% of all First Aid Kit sales goes directly to Cub Scout Pack 375

Checks can be made payable to "Pack 375 BSA".

All fundraising is optional.

Fall Camporee

Friday, October 13th - Sunday October 15th

Black Moshannon State Park

4216 Beaver Rd, Philipsburg, PA 16866

Cub Scout Pack 375 will be joining area Scouts for Fall Camporee at Black Moshannon State Park for a weekend of fun—filled with camping, cook-outs, campfires, and yes...lots of FUN!  This year's theme is the Bog Monster Mash.

The Bog Monster is rising from the murky depths of Black Moshannon and you are invited to his Bog Monster Mash. It’s going to be a campground smash!

Our days will be filled with all that the beautiful Black Moshannon State Park has to offer...water, trails and wildlife.   Our nights may be haunted by the ghoulish sounds of The Bog Monster and his friends lurking the campgrounds as they prepare for their end of October festivities. Come prepared with your scariest costume so that the monsters of Black Moshannon think that you are one of their own.

Webelos who wish to participate should plan to arrive on Friday and stay through Sunday.  Due to limited availability of the group tenting area, Lions, Tigers, Wolves, and Bears are welcome to attend the Day Camp portion only.  Those wishing to attend Fall Camporee will be asked to cover the cost of this event.
