Important questions received this month were about the contaminated heater-cooler devices used during cardiac surgery- you can access the CDC link below to learn about the notifications, mitigations strategies, testing, etc... There were also some surveillance questions asked.
Finally we have had a very interesting discussion on how to promote adherence to the ventilator bundle by putting ALL critical care patients on peptic ulcer disease prophylaxis which of course may result in an increase of Clostridium difficile - I have also included these topics in AcicN magazine.
