Making pillows has been a popular activity at SewGreen@ROC since we opened, but few have been as large as Samantha's! She's on the right in the photo, with a giant pillow covered with basketballs she made for a young family member. And in a recent Kids' Sewing Club, Elizabeth (left) made a football-shaped pillow in Dallas Cowboy colors, and her sister Tracy (center) made a pillow shaped like a cookie, with a larger pillow for it to sit upon! |

The giant crocheted mural was removed from our building on Sunday, May 28. We were sad to see her go! She brought many interesting people to our Susan B. Anthony neighborhood and into our shop. We continue to be grateful for the opportunity to host her and to help coordinate the effort to make this project happen. Sewing Machine 101/201 We are offering our most popular class three times in the next two weeks: Monday, June 5, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m., and Wednesday, June 14, 5 to 7 p.m. Bring your own sewing machine, or learn on one of ours. Begin at the beginning, or build on skills you already possess. Either way, this is the class that will open possibilities for you and your sewing machine! Upcoming Summer Closure

Upcoming Summer Camps! Fearless Fashion Camp, Monday through Friday, July 17 - 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Have you ever wanted to design your own clothes? Let us show you each step of the process, from your sketch to the runway, using our fabrics, notions, sewing materials and machines. Join us and have fun working to make your dream garment while working alongside others with their own vision and the same goal! We'll end with a Fashion Show, July 21st. Ages 10 & up! Class & materials, $40. Scholarships are available. Marionette Camp, Mondays through Fridays, August 7 - 18, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Make your own marionette with master puppeteer, Tom Bohrer! Remember... Every Saturday is Scrappy Saturday! Our small scrappy bags stuffed with scraps and rolls of fabric and/or unmarked balls of yarn are only $1 all day (regularly $3 on weekdays). Bring your own grocery-sized tote and stuff it full for only $5 (regularly $10). Stop by and fill a bag this Saturday, and every Saturday! |
