March 2019 Newsletter

(Part B)

Please see below for a few quick announcements before tomorrow's Blue & Gold Banquet and Crossover Ceremony.

What do you call a short fortune teller on the run??

Blue & Gold Banquet

Please note the following information for the banquet:

  • Please remember that if possible, all Scouts should be in Class A uniform.
  • Please arrive on time! We have an extremely full agenda and need to get started right away.
  • We are afraid that some people may have missed the detail about covering the cost for the Blue & Gold Banquet.  Each family needs to either sign up to bring a side dish to share or contribute $5 per adult to help offset the cost of the Pack supplied main entrée.  Please see the Signup Genius Page for more details.
  • We are excited to have almost 180 people signed up for tomorrow!  Please note though that there will be very few extra seats.  When finding a table, please fill every seat.

Pinewood Derby Theme Awards

Scouts will have the opportunity to vote for the Pinewood Derby Theme Award before the banquet starts.  Voting will be a Penny Wars style competition with the following rules:

  • Voting is open to all Scouts  and siblings.
  • Each Scout or sibling may bring a maximum of 100 coins.
  • Voting will be open to all cars, however cars that win a speed trophy will be ineligible to win a theme trophy.
  • The winner will be determined based on the weight of coins collected (heaviest jar wins).

Volunteering Opportunity

There are still several spots available to sign up to help with the Good Shepard Lenten Dinners.  The church would like us to have 2 - 3 Scouts in uniform helping at each of the remaining dinners.  Please sign up here.  Please also remember that an adult must stay with the Scouts while volunteering.

Lost & Found

The following items were left from either Winter Camping or the Klondike Derby.  If they belong to you, please claim them at the Blue & Gold Banquet or make arrangements with Joe Zanghi to get them another time. Everything remaining after 3/15/19 will be discarted or donated.
