Focus on... detox massage
I had fabulous feedback from a new client recently following a detox massage session. She booked in because she was generally feeling a bit out of sorts and had no appetite. Detox massage works on reflex points and neuro-lymphatic areas to stimulate organ systems and various sections of the digestive tract. During her session, stomach congestion and stomach acid points came up a number of times which correlated with her symptoms.
A few days following her session she reported that, following the massage, she woke up with noticeably brighter, clearer skin and even had a comment about this. Later that day her appetite returned and she could eat with no discomfort and no acid reflux and the next day her bowel habits were completely back to normal. In her own words - a pretty good result.
So if your digestion is a bit sluggish or out of sorts, if you suffer with abdominal pain or you would just like to help your gut detoxify a bit this may well be the right form of massage for you. Detox massage is an interactive and intensive session so may not be quite as relaxing as other forms of massage and clients generally find the 'feedback' from their body really interesting.
Your session will include work on the back, legs, the abdomen and either the face or feet (or have a slightly longer session and enjoy work on both your face and feet).
