Summer is nearing it's end. Well, really that depends how you define summer. The fall equinox is not until September 22nd, and to me that feels like a more fitting place to say Fall is beginning. But at least in South Carolina, teachers are already getting ready to go back to school and kids will be back in classes on August 15th. I know all this because my dear partner is a high school teacher in Charleston and so we are now back home after an amazing summer of travels and adventure. While summer for me is a time of movement and travel and outward energy and stirrings (pitta energy), fall is a time to begin gathering one's energy, focusing it and readying for the winter. As you all begin to settle back into routines of fall here are a few updates and happenings from Flow State Healing to consider: 1. Dances of Universal Peace, meeting, as usual on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 7pm at the Unity Church: 2535, Leeds Avenue, Charleston, SC Next one on August 11th 2. Special guests For October Dances of Universal Peace: Amina and Arif 3. Been curious about seeing what Thai Yoga Bodywork is all about? If you haven't had a session yet get 50% off your first session if you book before October 1st. 4. My six month Journey Towards Wholeness Coaching Program is still available at a discounted price of $800 (or $600 if you paid upfront). But I am only looking to take on a few more clients so let me know if you are interested! |

| | Stay tuned for more details on that but whatever it is, I know from previous experience it will be amazing, and will probably include some zikr and some of Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects. So mark you calendars and plan to spend that Saturday in spiritual communion and joyous singing and dancing. | | |

| | Curious about Thai Yoga? Try your first session 50% OFF I know for many, including myself, massage is a much needed luxury, and I am wary to spend my hard earned money on a modality that I have never heard of. But let me say my own experience, and that of many of my clients is that once they have experienced a Thai Yoga Bodywork session they don't ever want to go back to a regular table massage. The depth of pressure and added element of movement make Thai Yoga Bodywork able to offer something that I personally think is very unique, powerful, and deeply relaxing So if you are curious but have never experienced it take advantage of this deal and come have your first 90 minute session for only $60. This opportunity is only available to first time clients and will expire October 1st, but my hope is to make this experience available to some of you who have never tried it. So come take advantage of this amazing deal of a 90 minute Thai Yoga Session for only $60! And if you have already experienced my Thai Yoga and love it please tell your friends! | | |

| | Thai Yoga Q and A Q: What do I wear? A: Thai Yoga is a clothes on form on bodywork done on a mat on the floor. Loose comfortable clothing, or stretchy form fitting clothes work well. Think what would you wear to a yoga class? Q: Where will my session take place? A: Although I do do some house calls and occasionally work out of my home located near the airport, for first time clients I hold my sessions at Healing Arts Center, a beautiful, co-operative of healers who share space at 480 Jessen Road, right off I-526 at exit 23b. This is on Daniel Island, and convenient to both North Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. Q: When I hear Yoga I think movement. Do I have to move during the session? A: No you do not have to move or exert effort in any way! Occasionally I will begin with you in a seated position or ask you to grab on to my wrist, but generally you get to be like a rag doll. I will move your body, introducing mobility to joints and ligaments, but you are ideally totally relaxed, giving me your full weight. Sometimes I find clients try to help and I will remind them to give me their weight. Q: I like deep tissue work. Will I like Thai? A: Yes! Some of the deepest work I have experienced has been from Thai practitioners. Like a massage, I modulate my pressure to what the client says they like and what I feel they can handle, but because this work is done on a floor mat I am able to use my whole bodyweight and body mechanics to provide very deep work. I often am also using my elbows and feet. If you like deep work I think you will be more than satisfied. | | |

| | Journey Towards Wholeness: A 6 month program Are you wanting support to move towards greater wellness and health? This program is about bringing awareness to your unconscious choices and patterns and thereby giving you the freedom to then choose differently. Whether you are struggling with eating healthier, exercising more, or stress management I will work with you to cultivate your own resilience and ability to be flexible and curious about the choices you make, where they truly are coming from, and their effects, thereby empowering you to choose differently I will also support you and challenge you with suggested exercises and tools to try between our bi weekly sessions and can taylor the program to your needs, whether that means needing some meal planning and recipes, or if you are looking more for emotional support to make the changes you want. Because of the individualized and ongoing nature of this work I only take on a few clients at a time to make sure I can give you the best support possible. Right now I have the capacity to take on just a few more clients and am offering this program for a discounted rate of $800 with a payment plan (or $600 if you pay up front), and that is for twelve sessions, one hour each, in person or remotely every other week. If this interests you get in touch with me and we can schedule a no obligation, free consultation where we can both get to know each other better and see if we would be a good fit. | | |

| | And for those wondering how our summer went.... It was AMAZING! We must have hit over ten national parks and many more magical spots. But it was not how many parks we managed to see that made it such a good trip. It was the unexpected individual moments of awe and the companionship of my sweetie that made it truly special. Some of our highlights.... were two magical hot springs we found, one hidden beside a waterfall, requiring some adventuring spirit to get to, and just big enough for two, and another more known but also tucked into a remote mountain side in Idaho, that we got to experience alone as we sat in and watched the stars come out and the milky way emerge. We also had the miraculously serendipitous timing to be at the exactly the right place at the right time and got to witness a once in a lifetime, truly awe provoking experience of seeing Steamboat Geyser erupt, the tallest geyser in the world! If you don't know what I am talking about (I had never heard of steamboat) look up a youtube of it and know that no video can capture the earth rumbling power of seeing this unpredictable geyser erupt. And I think our other highlight, if we had to pick just one more, was all the amazing wildlife we saw, from a mama bear with two cubs, to beautiful elk with massive antlers, and big majestic big horned sheep, feisty mountain goats, and massive bison.
