JUNE NEWS

WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS!

The Schnucks Supermarket located at 2811 Homer Adams Parkway, Alton, IL has chosen Jacoby Arts Center as the latest beneficiary of the Schnucks – Bags 4 My Cause program! This means for the entire month of June, every time the reusable Giving bag with the message “Giving is in the Bag” is purchased at the Alton, IL location we receive $1! This is truly a great opportunity for us and an easy way for you to show your support for Jacoby Arts Center! Please go to the store, find the reusable bag rack and buy a few Giving bags! And remember to spread the word – the more bags purchased, the bigger donation to Jacoby Arts Center! For more information about the Schnucks – Bags 4 My Cause program, visit schnucks.bags4mycause.com.

"ONE PER DAY: A YEAR OF SMALL DECISIONS"

The goal of the project was to encourage a small and disciplined amount of creativity every day, make decisions regarding shape, form, function, and aesthetics on an unusually small scale, and to explore the effects the project had on the artist’s traditional body of work.  It too was to reflect the progression of skill from day one to day 365. All 365 pieces of work are displayed at once, a year’s worth of challenge, dedication, discipline, and creativity.  Pieces are available for purchase and priced $40-$200.
