Dear friend, Spring finally arrived in the whole of Europe and it's time for fresh new updates from our side. Since last time After successful courses in Portugal and Germany in April, James continued with a number of in-house engagments and events, including a keynote and panel conversation alongside Jos de Blok on the topic of Building (Self-) Organization/s For The Future, held in the Netherlands, hosted by Rijnconsult and Integrated Consulting Group as part of their Bi-annual Learning Days Meetup. Meanwhile, Lili went to the Voice Dialogue weekend deep-dive in England. Alongside some interesting and exciting customer engagements we've continued working on video development with details of new releases below. |

Together with our organizing partner Jan Zijlstra we decided to cancel the non-profit S3 introductory course in Macedonia. Despite initial enthusiasm and strong indications of interest in the region, in actuality there were too few registrations for the course to be viable this time. Elsewhere in Europe interest in learning about S3 has been growing steadily. Our next and final course before the summer is in Antwerp in a couple of days and it was fully booked some weeks ago. We'll be co-delivering this course along with Jef Cumps and besides a group of 30 participants, we're excited that a few other people are returning to the course for a second or even third time. They'll have the chance to refresh learning, reflect on how we are currently teaching S3 and also offer coaching and mentoring to participants during their practice. With the exception of a couple of engagements, this summer is reserved for family-time and for administrative and creative work on S3 materials and new & related projects. We're pleased to announce that Sociocracy 3.0 will get it's debut in China in November when James will deliver a keynote on the topic at the China Future Org 2018 conference in Shanghai. Below are details of a couple of upcoming public courses for this autumn. Watch out for news of other autumn courses and events on our events page. |

These T-shirts are meant to inspire, provoke, start meaningful conversations and remind ourselves and others of what we often forget. Check out the new Both and More collection and a bag test-design for Arftul Participation. The great thing about this project is that Teemill takes care of printing, packaging, delivery and customer service, so I don't have to! Therefore they get most of the money as well, which is fine as they provide a great service (and sustainably produced organic products). So this initiative is far more a meaningful hobby than a for-profit business. |

We're very happy to announce the launch of Sociocracy World and would like to request you take a few minutes of your time add details of any organizations you are working with, pulling in patterns from S3 or other varients of sociocracy - e.g. Sociocratic Circle Method and Holacracy. It's a simple and quick process and your contribution will help to raise transparency and increase the potential for like-minded individuals and organizations to meet, get to know and learn from each another. |

A good news story from a client of ours |
|
|
We were delighted last week to hear the latest news of Codento's evolution since we ran a 3 day S3 introductory course with the whole organization during the winter of 2016-17. Having heard little from them for several months I (James) finally connected with their lead consultant, Karoliina Luoto last autumn and she shared an anecdote of their story of transformation that brought tears of appreciation to my eyes. SInce then they've continued to navigate via tension, pulling in patterns from S3. Perhaps most noticable of all is their adoption of the seven principles and as CEO Petri Aukia shared with me today, "I'm really proud of our team. We couldn't imagine going back to the old way of doing things". You can read about their story in this article. It's well worth the effort to translate it into your language of choice if Finnish is not a part of your repertoire. |
