March Newsletter

A word from our director...

What a wonderful March we had here at the Boys & Girls Club of Joliet. During this month we held our 2017 Annual Gala in which we honored former Board President, the late Mike Adler. The event was an enormous success, raising over $60,000 for the Club! Most importantly, we had the opportunity to honor Mike for all of his amazing contributions over the years. The Boys & Girls Club has committed seed funding to dedicate a capital project to Mike and we were proud to unveil the details of the project to the crowd of over 200 people at the Gala. (see more below). Mike continues to be a source of inspiration for the Boys & Girls Club of Joliet and his spirit of action will forever be alive within the four walls of our facility.

Youth were on Spring break at the end of the month and the Club was open from 9:00am-4:00pm. The Club is a SAFE place to be when school is out and our staff takes great pride in providing positive modeling to the young people in our community who need the most help.

I would like to personally thank all of our donors, sponsors, benefactors, and most importantly....THANK YOU to the Adler family: Joanne Adler, Chris Adler, Kelly Adler, Joe Adler, and so many more for your overwhelming support!
