Smile - You'll Be On T.V.

It's been a while since the last newsletter and there is lots to catch up on. So we'll keep it brief.

Race Film

That's right, the race will be filmed once again! Dream Team TV will have their cameras at the race and will be producing a 3 part series for S4C following the Welsh ladies team, and also making a one hour film for broadcast on Channel 4, and UK Satellite channels Sky, British Eurosport and Setanta Sport.

A Strong Entry

A few more entries are still expected but at present the start list stands at 15 teams, which you can see on the website here.

If you click on the team names you can find out more about the teams and as ever there are competitors with an incredibly varied sporting background, both in sailing and mountain running.

There are a couple of visiting international athletes, an all-female team, and a charity team including one of Britain's best known sailors, Dee Caffari. We'll profile some of the teams in further newsletters in the lead up to ther race.

Photo Competition

This years race sees a new prize for the best photograph taken by competitors or support crew.

All entries must be posted to the Three Peaks Yacht Race Facebook page by 1st July 2016.

The winner will receive a Harken Wet/Dry bag (retailing at £90.52) and runners up will get the much sought after Harken Beanie. Please keep the pictures coming, we would love to see images from those reconnaissance trips too and all photos will be considered.
