oVc Chronicles

March 2016

Even though the calendar says its Spring, you would be forgiven for thinking we are still in the throes of Old Man Winter. As of the time of this writing, temperatures took a plunge after a promising opening weekend in March that saw many bikes out for the first run of the year. Hopefully things will get back on track soon.

In the meantime, we have some big news starting with the official announcement that oVc is now an authorized CCM dealer. You may have seen the GP450 that was on display in our showroom last year and now that these incredibly well-engineered machines have been cleared for import to Canada, you can order them through oVc. Watch for more information in the coming weeks.

We’re also pleased to announce that Brian Jurchuk is joining the oVc family. Brian has many years’ experience with a specialization working on Ducatis, KTMs, and all the Japanese marques. Welcome Brian!

Finally, for those that have been asking about 4-way flasher kits for your Ural, we can now order kits that can be retrofitted to your Ural.

Toronto Motorcycle Show

It was great to see such a huge turnout at last month’s Toronto Motorcycle Show. Kevin and Rachel helped represent oVc at the SYM booth and was kept busy answering questions about the great lineup of SYM scooters. It wasn't all work, however, and Rachel did have time to check out this Harley.

Well-Travelled Ural

Last year oVc was entrusted by one of our customers to prepare his Ural for an epic tour across Canada and Alaska and apart from a couple of minor issues, the Ural performed flawlessly. Somewhere along the way an intake boot was knocked off but a little duct tape later, and the rig was back on the road until a replacement could be found.

On board fuel carrying capacity was increased to 65 litres which was very useful particularly along the Alaska highway where service stations are not that plentiful! All in all, the bike went through 3 tires and other spare parts included a drive doughnut, oil and fuel filters, and spark plugs.

Check out the pictures below for all the stickers chronicling the journey.

Here we have Ross after closing the deal for his new Royal Enfield Continental GT. Ross added a factory racing exhaust, halogen brake and tail light, an LED 7 inch headlight conversion kit, and billeted factory bar-end mirrors. Looking sharp!

This is Ontario’s newest Harley-enabled sidecar rig featuring a Trans Moto sidecar. Congrats Joe!
