We are going forward with our goal of gaining 100 Seed Members for the Co-op - another party this Friday nite! This one may be a big one, with up to 20 people. Really looking forward to that!
But no matter the size - 3 or 4 people, a few friends, your card club, the people you eat lunch with at work - any group, any number. Having a house party is a great way to get some one-on-one info about the Clipper City Co-op, ask all the questions you can think of, get to know some of the Steering Committee and find out about becoming a Seed Member of the Co-op.
Becoming a Seed Member is showing financial support for our co-op and enabling us to move ahead with a feasibility study, business plan and many other things that unfortunately need money to accomplish. Becoming a Seed Member is saying 'I believe in and want to support the Clipper City Co-op and help it on it's way to becoming a solid reality!'
Speaking of support......
Whether or not you are able to become a Seed Member, volunteering is a way to get involved, show support and be a strong, WELCOME, needed part of the growing Co-op community. Jena volunteered 1 Sat a month to help with our presence at the Manitowoc Farmers Market. You don't need to have tons of time to give - maybe help with one of our tables at local events, help with open meetings or listening sessions. Like using social media or doing PR? Talk to Cath!
We have lots of opportunities for people to get involved - just ask! :)
As always - keep checking on Facebook, letting us know what your thoughts are. Watch for Jill's blog. Share this newsletter with anyone who you think may have an interest - all we need is an email address. And also check on the website when you can - Kim is always updating it and making it better and easier :)
We have exciting things happening and we will always tell you the news...we may even SHOUT it a bit!!
