MAA BOARD MEETING

 

MAA held a board meeting on June 28th, 2015 at the Manheim Ambulance Building (2nd Floor). The purpose of the meeting was to elect the Executive Board (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Parliamentarian, and Sargent at Arms). The following individuals were elected:

President - Kate Tragis

Vice President - Denise Geib

Treasurer - Vacant (Doug Hosler is continuing the duties until a replacement is found)

Secretary - John Root

Sargent at Arms - Derek West

Parliamentarian - Mike Lauver

Trustee - Jason Sheaffer

Trustee - Art Carter

 

 Executive Board members are elected for two year terms. New terms began on July 1, 2015 and run through June 30, 2017.

MAA Dinner/Dance August 29th 7:00pm-11:00pm

 

MAA has set August 29th, 2015 for the second Dinner/Dance. The dinner/dance will be held Acorn Farms Reception & Conference Center, 3141 Manheim-Mount Joy Road, Mount Joy, PA 17552. Come out and enjoy food, music, silent auction and more to support the youth of Manheim Central school district.  Tickets are available on www.maakids.com and from MAA Board members. Ticket prices are $75/couple and $40/single.  Catered dinner by Acorn Farms (menu is on our website), Limited Open Bar, DJ music, Silent Auction and lots of fun! Come out and support MAA and have fun!!

Youth Football, Cheering, Softball and Flag Football in Manheim PA

50th Year of MAA Football

 

The 2015 season will mark 50 years of youth football in Manheim. Join the fun and carry on the tradition.  For more information, contact Stu Brown at football@maakids.com

 

Football Highlights:

MAA football had 94 players sign up for the 2015 season.

Practices started on 8/10.

MC High School coaches to teach "Heads Up Tackling".

2015 Schedules are posted on the Football Page of the website.

2015 MAA Cheering

 

Cheering Highlights:

Approximately 61 athletes have registered for the upcoming season.

New uniforms are coming this season.

Practices started 7/28.

MAA Cheering will be in 3 competitions this season (Etown, Spooky Nook and tentatively Penn Manor)/.

 

MAA cheering is open to students in the Manheim Central school district in grades 1-8. Cheering begins in early August and continues into November. The cheerleaders go to several competitions throught the season as well as cheer at the MAA football games.

D-squad - grades 1 & 2

C-squad - grades 3 & 4

B-squad - grades 5 & 6

A-squad - grades 7 & 8

2015 MAA Softball

Softball highlights:

Infield repairs (home plate and pitchers mound) done to Island Field.

Windscreen added to the backstop at Island Field (courtesy of Elstonville Sportsman's Club and the Germania Band Club.

New Player benches are coming soon!
