Grant Applications now being taken!

The really big news this month is that the Foundation is now accepting applications for grants. The original founding aims were to make grants to worthwhile causes or individuals who embodied the pursuit of passion, and to help those disadvantaged by whatever cause. The awards will be made twice a year, in March and August, to coincide with Jamie's birthday and passing. Each one will have a theme, and this time it is "Kindness". So go ahead, check out the online application form, and don't forget to like and share!

More Foundation help given

Thanks to your generous assistance, we have been able to continue to make small grants in line with the aims of the Foundation. In this very cold weather, we have been very pleased to support the Sleeping Bag Appeal, who work on the streets trying to keep the homeless safe and warm. Please support them as well as the Foundation by liking their Facebook page. As a result of the "share and like" campaign, we were able to provide a total of 11 sleeping bags!

We plan to use at least some of the money raised from the events below on the evening of 10 March, which would have been Jamie's 23rd birthday, to feed the homeless. To help give a hot meal to a rough sleeper, either support the events or contact us or donate directly, and let us you you want this to go direct to this campaign, thank you!

Foundation fundraisers

There are now a number of people taking part in events with the aim of raising money for the Foundation. Here are some brief details, please support them!

Half Marathons - Jamie's cousin Laura will be running the Newport half marathon on 1 March in his paternal family home town. Please support her at her GoFundMe page here! Also Morvwen Duncan will be running a half marathon in Milton Keynes on 8 March and her GoFundMe page is here.

Velothon Wales - Robert Pettitt (from our sponsors Northampton Chambers) and Matthew Brookes-Baker will be cycling this very tough event on 14 June. The route goes around Newport as well, and includes the challenging Tumble and Caerphilly mountain climbs! Support them at their GoFundMe page as well!

Onesie day - at least 3 schools so far are supporting the Foundation on 10 March, which is fast becoming the best new National Day! Why not wear your onesie with pride on this day, and make a donation to the Foundation, and don't forget your photos (with or without a #jamiekiss)!

Lent - we are running a Small Change for Change campaign during Lent, which starts this Wednesday. Whatever you are giving up, just send the small change that you save to the Foundation!
