After so much work, the first results can now be seen!

Thanks to the training in the System of Rice Intensification provided to the farmers, the first results can now be seen, already two months after sowing: the ears of rice grown from each seed have literally doubled in 80% of fields, if compared with the fields which are cultivated by employing traditional techniques. While before the plants accounted for an average of 30 ears, now there are plants accounting for 60-70 ears. This means that, if there isn’t any bump in the road, the farmers will be able to harvest at least 5 tons of rice per hectare. Well done to the Mazao field staff, whose great effort has produced excellent results!

In partnership with Kiss the Ground we want give our contribution to disseminate the video "The Soil Story" explaning how the agroecology could be a solution of climate change.  Special thanks to Valentina Ruggeri that she help us to produce the italian version of the video to share the problem of climete change and  how the solution is under our feet.
