HummingBees and Sacred Breadcrumbs |

“I am open to the guidance of synchronicity, and do not let expectations hinder my path.” ~ The Dalai Lama I recently read this article on the topic of synchronicity and the signs we stumble upon on our journey. Summer, a season I enjoy for hiking and nature walks, has opened me up to so many physical signs, arrows, and directional cues on the physical path. This exploration then of sacred breadcrumbs along our spiritual path really resonated with me, adding a well rounded idea of these signs and syncrhonicities both in the physical and nonphysical paths. Usually when hiking there are a few things you can rely on such as a map (obviously) and which for the most part is fairly accurate. Though at times even an extensive map cannot mark weather and other natural changes to the environment, and if out of date or exploring a not so toured path may not be all that telling. Then you have a compass if you know the general direction in which you want to travel. In addition to these there are often markers, stacks of rocks, branches, trodden down grass, and other natural signs to guide you along the route that others have navigated before you. These are referred to as cairns and can usually be found spaced out along the path at significant intersections, marked viewpoints or critical directional shifts. Sometimes, as you continue along in search of the next cairn, you lose track and have to turn around and retrun to the previous and approach from a different direction. These cairns aren't just along the physical paths we explore, they are very much in abundance along our spiritual paths as well, referred to as synchronicity. When we think about someone or hear a song that reminds us of someone we haven't spoken to in a while, and then what we sometimes dismiss as "out of the blue" happens and they call us, we have just encountered a spiritual cairn, a divine marker. I think we have all experienced these synchronicities and being "in the flow" or along the path and on the flip side, when we are not. As we come into alignment with our higher purpose, these synchronicities appear more frequently, letting us know we are on track, in the flow, on the path that resonates with us. I know personally, when I am disconnected or out of balance, I encounter far less of these cairns, these sacred breadcrumbs. May we all continue exploring the path, both physical and spiritual and be open to these beacons guiding our way. To read the full article from The Sacred Science click here. |

A big dream will come to fruition that day! 3 core desired feelings resonating with you right now Spaciousness, non-attachment, abundance When and/or where do you feel the most alive, most like yourself? A few things bring this out of me, or rather, bring me into myself.. and those are: ~Being with my family, my fiancé and dear friends. ~During and following meditation and a well-breathed yoga practice. ~Certain pathways/places in Western Canada I have visited throughout my life that anchor me to touch points engrained deep in my memory. If you could create your own spirit animal, what would it be and what does that represent to you? A HummingBee! A cross between a honeybee and a hummingbird! This represents my deep reverence for the honeybee’s gift of nourishment to life on our planet, and the wonder that comes over me when graced by the presence of a hummingbird. They are emblematic for their vigor, energy, and propensity to do work. I love to do, to work, to move, to travel and to be with flowers. |
