The Three Peaks Yacht Race

Time To Go!

With only a few days to go until the start of the 39th Three Peaks Yacht Race many of the competitors are already on their way to Barmouth.  It is nearly time for the race to begin!

Follow the Race Live

From Saturday at 2 p.m. they will be on their way to Fort William and you can follow the race through our live page on the website.

From here you can see the real time satellite tracking of yachts and runners, and we'll post news stories and photos up as soon as possible. Timings will also be updated live onto the site as the race progresses.

If you are following a team tell your friends and family about the live page ... but be warned the satellite 'dot watching' is addictive!

Get Involved on Social Media

We'll post lots of photos to Facebook and make regular updates on both Facebook and Twitter to keep you posted.

Use the #3peaksyachtrace to join in the race chat and follow along.

Watch The Start Action Online

Dream Team Television will be covering the race this year, with Drone mounted cameras giving us views of the race we've never had before.

They are also planning a live Youtube broadcast from the start line a mile out to sea - which you can watch via the race website!

Come Along!

If you want to see the yachts set off and enjoy the race atmosphere and harbour side activities come along in good time. The yachts leave the harbour in procession at 1.00 p.m.

There is also an exhibition on the race's inspiration, Major H.W. Tilman, at the Sailor's Institute and if you are in Barmouth on Weds. night there is a presentation on Tilman by Bob Comlay, who sailed with him. It's at the Dragon Theature at 7.30pm on June 8th.

Yours in Adventure,

The Race Committee
