So what am I going to do when I grow up?
What do you think of when reading this, are you doing what you thought you'd be doing? The funny thing is that I never planned my career, I kind of fell into it and have loved every minute - give or take some stressful times...but that's all part of life's journey - how we learn and grow as human beings. I have ultimately been happy and able to express my creativity through my work and play, so for that I am grateful.
Now I think about it, I don't want to grow up. I want to ask the questions I asked at 14 about life, why I'm here and discover the world with wonder and a childlike innocence. When I sit with my mother at 87 and see her sharp mind and positive attitude, I thank goodness I have her genes. What I love about her disposition most, is her openness to change and childlike inquisitiveness to all things. I believe her physical youthfulness (she looks 60) is because of her attitude. That's why I'll never apologise for following my inner child, the pure of heart, innocent little girl. No I never want to grow up.
I think about my fashion over the years and I've always loved to wear something I feel good in, I love showing my creativity and style in what I wear - that has been consistent in my life. A bit of sparkle, style and fun.
So how do you bring out your inner child? She or he is always there wanting to explore and express the very part of you that is pure of heart, uniquely YOU.
This week, listen to your inner child's voice or just discover the voice that is always there but maybe you haven't noticed. Do what she or he wants and see what happens... My inner child said wear a hat!!! (See this weeks video 'I love hats' inspiration too for Easter races!)
Have a great 'playful' week!
